It’s
not often that the practice of law and the practice of business marry well.
They can be mutually exclusive. Not so for the founder of Adams | Stirling PLC,
Adrian J. Adams. Coupled with his unique educational experience is the fact
that Adrian is also a Marine. He specialized in F-4 Phantom fighter jets. Very
impressive and quite a combination. Adrian started his first career in property
management and was very successful. But, because this is Adrian Adams, that wasn’t
enough. An MBA at UCLA soon followed. On the heels of the MBA, Adrian earned
his JD at Southwestern Law School.
Adrian
founded Adams | Stirling PLC with the goal of providing quality, expert legal
services at competitive prices. What soon followed was the award-winning
Davis-Stirling.com website and the Davis-Stirling newsletter. The website is the
leading resource in the community association industry. It is the most
frequently used reference website by directors, managers and homeowners. In
2015, board members, managers and industry professionals visited the website
over 800,000 times with 3.4 million page-views. Davis-Stirling.com has a high
profile with hundreds of other websites linking to and pointing traffic to this
website. This includes the prestigious online encyclopedia “Wikipedia.” As a
result, Davis-Stirling.com is in the #1 position for all searches related to
the Davis-Stirling Act.
With
an extensive background in the community association industry, Adrian Adams is
one of the leading attorneys in California specializing in common interest
developments. His practice includes highrise condominiums, stock cooperatives,
business parks, golfing communities, country clubs, lake association,
ocean-front communities and equestrian associations. He also created and writes
content for CommercialCID.com, a popular resource for commercial common
interest developments.
Adrian
Adams’ professional accomplishments include being a founding member the CIDLAW
Organization, delegate to the California Legislative Action Committee, former
President of the Foundation for California Community Association Education,

Assistance Center, a project of the Public Health Institute, and founding
member of the "Critical Issues Think Tank" of the national Foundation

In
addition, Adrian serves as an expert witness on standards of care issues
involving association boards and managers and has testified extensively on
issues involving maintenance, mold, rules enforcement, budgets, reserves,
governing documents, management, and related matters involving associations.
Through
his popular weekly newsletter and blog, Adrian writes about legal trends in the
industry. He has been a guest speaker for the California State Bar and
regularly speaks at industry-related events throughout California. Adrian is
also a panelist for continuing legal education programs for attorneys. He
publishes a biennial salary survey of onsite managers throughout California
which tracks trends related to income, gender, education, average age and
certification of managers.
Adrian
also created curriculum for and taught Association
Management and Law for ten years for UCLA Extension. He is a past member of
the Boards of Directors of the Los Angeles and Orange County chapters of the
Community Associations Institute.
